A microsite is a standalone website per smallest topic node. It is not a section of a flagship publication and it is not a type-wide magazine. One name, one domain, one job. No consolidation into fewer sites.
Each site page in this folder lists only facts from atlas.json: name, domain, alternate names/domains, tagline, topic, jobs/questions, content map (sitemap), official sources, and DNS/HOLD flags. Do not invent copy, fees, or sources. If a field is empty in the atlas, leave it empty.
HOLD = no official source, so no content yet. List the site. Do not draft pages, fees, or how-tos until an official source is read. 17 of 170 sites are HOLD.
DNS resolution (dig A/NS/MX) is a weak signal: a domain with no DNS records can still be registered but unconfigured, and NXDOMAIN does not guarantee availability (reserved, premium, or recently dropped names may not be purchasable). Conversely a resolving domain is almost certainly registered. "possibly_available" results must be confirmed via a registrar or authoritative WHOIS/RDAP lookup before any decision or purchase.
